Qualifications for a Culinary Specialist:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in culinary arts and meal preparation.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, supervisory experience is not necessary.

Key Responsibilities for a Culinary Specialist:

  • Guarantee high-quality meal preparation, focusing on consistency, presentation, flavor, and temperature.
  • Adhere to safe food handling practices, including receiving, storage, cooking, service, and sanitation of tools and work areas.
  • Manage resident meal budgets by following recipes, preparing specified food quantities, batch cooking, and utilizing appropriate cooking techniques.
  • Be an essential member of the production team, supporting all dining initiatives (catering, events, retail, etc.).
