Job Summary

The Obstetric Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Practice Manager and physicians by tracking and monitoring obstetric patients, charts, and testing, as well as providing patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains obstetric database, records new patients, and distributes lists/reports as requested.
  • Pre-certifies all obstetric patients and orders medication with third-party authorization.
  • Liaisons between practice and Labor and Delivery at the hospital, audits obstetric charts, and maintains results flow.
  • Follows up on changes from physicians' obstetric chart reviews and communicates results to physicians.
  • Handles patient prescriptions with the pharmacy and provides diabetic testing supplies and scripts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • 3+ years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Women's Health (Required)
  • MA Certification (Required) if not LPN/RN licensed
  • Degrees may be considered in lieu of total years of experience
