Pediatric Neurologist Opportunity at Cook Children's Health Care System

About the Position:
Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a board certified/board eligible child neurologist to join our faculty at the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a 10-bed epilepsy monitoring unit and active epilepsy surgery program
- Participate in minimally invasive surgical procedures, including Stereo-EEG, RNS, Laser Interstitial Thermal Ablation, and Endoscopy
- Lead specialty clinics for ketogenic diet, genetic epilepsy, genetic research trails, and genetic treatments for neuromuscular disease, infantile spasms, and adult epilepsy transition of care
- Collaborate with a team of 20 pediatric neurologists, 8 advanced practice providers, 3 pediatric neurosurgeons, and 4 neuropsychologists
- Contribute to research and development through the application for an endowed chair position
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required
- American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics
- Board certification/board eligibility in child neurology
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License
