Trainer - Public Child Welfare Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for training topics relevant to public child welfare to LA County DCFS social workers and other DCFS staff. You will review child welfare curriculum content for relevance and eligibility for Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) accreditation, and write curriculum relevant to public child welfare.
Responsibilities- Train topics relevant to public child welfare to LA County DCFS social workers and other DCFS staff.
- Review child welfare curriculum content for relevance and eligibility for Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) accreditation.
- Write curriculum relevant to public child welfare.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
- Licensed Clinical Social Work upon hire.
- 3-5 years experience in child welfare setting; definitive knowledge of public child welfare social work practice.
- Demonstrated 3-5 years of training and 1-2 years of curriculum development experience.
- Strong interpersonal, teaming, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated excellent work ethic, personal responsibility for completion of work independently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to apply it in training delivery.
- Excellent communication, presentation, engagement and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with Los Angeles DCFS policy and procedures, practice, mission, and practice model.
- Commitment to diversity and cultural humility, culturally competent practice.
- Excellent writing, editing, grammatical skills as well as familiarity with power point, excel, worked and computer savvy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple assignments in short time frames.
- Master's Degree Social Work or related field (Required) And
- Licensed Clinical Social Work Upon Hire (Required)
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
- COVID and Flu Vaccinations: The position is subject to providing evidence of inoculation.
