Job Summary:

The Mobile Equipment Servicer is a non-exempt job classification covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f).

Operating from a mobile fuel station and/or tanker, the Mobile Equipment Servicer performs various duties, including supplying vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel, recording mileage and tag numbers, checking fluid levels, battery, cooling system, and engine oil, inspecting equipment, and performing preventive maintenance services.

Essential Functions:

Preserves equipment and stencils, tags and labels military equipment, removes rust using portable tools, and removes contaminants with approved solvents. The Mobile Equipment Servicer must adhere to PTi quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

The Mobile Equipment Servicer may be required to handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. The job requires moderate physical effort in loading, unloading, and arranging equipment/supplies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have experience maintaining/servicing heavy equipment, be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and possess skills in planning, controlling, executing, multi-tasking, and being responsible for the successful completion of work requirements.

Certifications and Education:

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Prior military experience is preferred. The Mobile Equipment Servicer must be able to effectively read and write in English, comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
