Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Position Summary:

This role involves providing clinical support within the outpatient endocrinology department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, measuring and documenting vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, securing insurance authorizations, and assisting both office personnel and healthcare providers. It is imperative to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Additionally, this position requires active participation in patient triage and various ancillary medical support tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Possession of a valid New York State Nursing License.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an acute care or physician office environment (either primary care or specialty) is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Patient-Centered Medical Home principles, including MIPS and HEDIS requirements, is preferred.
