Position Summary

The Patient Access Services Quality Assurance Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the quality of patient registration processes within the Revenue Cycle. This position involves conducting quality audits and supporting the Data Integrity Team to enhance the accuracy of registration data. The individual will assist in monitoring and correcting data discrepancies, identifying trends, and developing training materials to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly assess the performance of Patient Access Representatives to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere to established Quality Assurance metrics to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
  • Create and develop Quality Assurance tools, including electronic scorecards and quality dashboards.
  • Maintain open communication with leadership regarding quality monitoring outcomes and training needs.
  • Analyze quality indicators to pinpoint training deficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Training & Education team to design and implement training modules.
  • Execute corrective action plans to support training initiatives for staff and project leaders.
  • Stay informed about new product rollouts and enhancements to maintain expertise.
  • Conduct quality audits of patient accounts promptly after discharge.
  • Address billing discrepancies prior to final billing as necessary.
  • Ensure all quality assurance standards are met regarding patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Review statistical data with management and training departments to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Provide coaching and educational support to Patient Access staff in collaboration with the Training & Education Department.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college education (1-2 years) or a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is required, with at least 2 years in Patient Access preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to identify compliance issues and prepare audit reports.
  • Proficient in PC applications, with experience in QA software preferred.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and support for fellow team members.
  • Experience in analytics and problem-solving, with the ability to recognize trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a focus on quality output.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM
