Position Overview

As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will report directly to the Tooling Operations Manager and receive guidance from the CNC Team Leader. Your primary responsibilities will include operating milling machines and CNC equipment to produce high-precision components.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategically plan machining tasks based on detailed work orders and blueprints.
- Set up milling machines with precision, ensuring proper alignment of vices and materials for optimal machining efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure consistent operation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate smooth shift transitions.
- Analyze 3D CAD designs to develop programming sequences and material cutting paths.
- Convert machining instructions into CAM programs.
- Execute job orders and perform necessary calculations.
- Innovate and enhance programming for improved operational efficiency.
- Proficiently program 3-Axis, 3+2 Axis, and 5 Axis machines utilizing WorkNC software.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in CNC machining and programming.
- Proficient in operating and programming 3 Axis, 3+2 Axis, and 5 Axis machines.
- Required experience with WorkNC programming.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controllers.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed and adapt to varying workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

- Industry experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience operating various machinery, including:
- Devlieg Boring Mill
- Chevaliers with Fanuc controls
- Tarus with Tarus controls
- DN with Fanuc controls
- Haas with Haas controls
- Hermle with Heidenhain controls
