Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Applications Engineer to join our team at Swift Placement & Consulting. As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for the part programming of CNC machines, process development, and customer training in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-sale activities and reviews, including customer visits, machine assessment, and recommendations, and part processing recommendations.
  • Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Interpret part prints, plans, and specifications.
  • Create time studies and perform first part run-off.
  • Program, set up, and train Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills.
  • Provide customer support via phone and travel to customer sites.
  • Align and interface bar feed units.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with CNC machines; Swiss screw machine experience for CNC lathe preferred.
  • Citizen & Miyano experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills required.
  • High School or equivalent; some college courses preferred.
  • Travel up to 60% and includes reporting to office as needed for our Michigan office.
