Semi-Con Rotational Molding Operator Job Description

At RMB Products, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Semi-Con Rotational Molding Operator to join our High Purity team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating rotational molding machines and producing high-quality plastic parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read, understand, and follow work orders to ensure accurate production
  • Inspect, trim, repair, clean, and pack out all products produced in rotational molding
  • Produce high-quality parts from trimming to final pack-out at standard
  • Perform operations under sensitive-time duration processes
  • Set up machines for production cycles, prepare molds, and add inserts and components
  • Obtain correct powder and molds per work order and fill buckets with the proper resin, dye, and/or weight
  • Perform quality acceptance checks and program time, temperature, and rotation on machines
  • Assure that all vent tubes and parting lines are cleaned each time on rotational molds
  • Install and/or remove pins and/or inserts into proper places on molds
  • Mount molds and lined products on proper machine arms
  • Receive, inspect, and return molds after work orders are completed
  • Maintain machine readiness with daily and weekly preventative maintenance forms
  • Stage and prepare production runs, coat rings and plates with Teflon as required, and check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Remove lined products from arms, trim off end caps, and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Remove parts from molds, trim and de-flash as required, and visually inspect each part for quality
  • Reject nonconforming parts as needed and place them in designated areas
  • Inspect finished parts for delamination, voids, or bubbles, and contamination
  • Document all molding, trim/preassembly, preventative maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Create a quality product that meets industry standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain time and production records, suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use, and notify supervisors of problems
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn and improve through on-the-job training
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions given orally and in writing
  • Maintain confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMB
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer-provided specifications
  • Requires use of forklifts, cranes, rotational molding machines, and other heavy machinery
  • Requires use of pneumatic and impact tools
  • Exhibits objectivity and openness to other people's views and contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Requires advanced writing, math, and mechanical skills
  • Requires maintaining a flexible and cooperative attitude and communication skills in the English language
  • Requires excellent safety practices and strong interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements and Hazards:
  • Stand while working with machinery
  • Sit at a computer to work
  • Make repetitive movements
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • Lift no more than 50 pounds alone and assist in team lifts of more than 50 pounds
  • Fulfill work schedule, work hours, and productivity expectations
  • Comply with established standards, policies, and laws applicable to our business
  • Possess specific vision abilities
