Radiology Operations Manager

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of radiology services across assigned facilities. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent will serve as a technical resource for the region in designated specialized areas. Key responsibilities include designing and overseeing highly reliable imaging operations, ensuring quality of care, quality of member experience, affordability, standard work, and employee experience and competence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct radiology operations by planning, implementing, and monitoring short and long-term actions consistent with the organization's mission and strategic plan, as well as the department's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Integrate radiology service goals with the goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for and monitors imaging performance on key indicators, including affordability, quality, and service.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical radiology experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience in a clinical radiology setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in radiological science, healthcare, or a related field, or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Nuclear Medical Technologist Certification (Hawaii) from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate, or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate, or Radiologic Technologist Certification, or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Behavioral interviewing experience.
  • Experience in Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Continued involvement in national, state, and local professional organization(s).
  • Proven ability to organize and manage radiology operations.
  • Demonstrated strengths in decision making in a consensus environment and collaborative management style.
  • Kaiser Permanente experience.
  • Masters degree in radiological science, healthcare, or a related field.
Work Environment:

Primary Location: Maryland, Gaithersburg, Gaithersburg Medical Office 655 Watkins Mill Rd.

Hours Per Week: 40

Shift: Evening

Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

Working Hours Start: 03:00 PM

Working Hours End: 11:30 PM

Job Schedule: Full-time
