Special Education Support Professional

Coffee County Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provide instructional support and assistance to students with disabilities, working closely with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in classroom activities, providing individualized support and accommodations to students with special needs.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources to support student learning.
- Supervise students in the classroom and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide clerical support and maintain accurate records and files.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Meet Highly Qualified Status as required by state and federal regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
