Job Summary:
Mercy is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Orthopedic Neurology Specialist. This part-time position will work nights and requires a strong foundation in nursing care for adult post-operative orthopedic traumas and Neurosurgery patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating expertise in orthopedic and neurological nursing practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess and manage patient needs, including pain management, wound care, and medication administration.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and perform physical demands of the position.

The 3C Surgical Unit at Mercy focuses on adult post-operative orthopedic traumas and Neurosurgery. As an Orthopedic Neurology Specialist, you will develop expertise in critical thinking, assessment, and clinical skills, working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
