This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as the Pharmacy Technician 1-Outpatient HDS will work in both pharmacy and clinic locations as needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process prescriptions and manage refill authorizations
  • Manage insurance billing and patient payments
  • Fulfill medication orders and coordinate deliveries
  • Operate the cash register and manage patient transactions
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program through an accredited institution required
  • Minimum one year of community pharmacy experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of pharmacy billing and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Licensures and Certifications:

  • California Pharmacy Technician license required
  • California Board of Pharmacy Primary License status must be clear
