Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential facilities, including scheduling and assigning work to staff, directing and leading workers in completing assigned work, and monitoring work and project activity progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities of assigned shop(s), including scheduling and assigning work to staff and directing and leading workers in completing assigned work.
  • Track budget for area of responsibility and provide time and workforce needs and estimates to higher-level management based on cost analyses.
  • Implement, interpret, and manage policies and procedures pertaining to operations and facilities management.
  • Manage service contracts as applicable.
  • Coordinate activities, construction, and renovation with Stanford staff, subcontractors, and/or vendors.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology in support of facilities management (work order systems, spreadsheets, trend analysis, etc.).
  • Experience in working in a higher education residential academic environment preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate daily activities including work scheduling, quality assurance, program validation, monitoring of maintenance activities, and supervision of personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives, producing accurate results within tight timelines and with limited resources.
  • Demonstrated experience working with subcontractors/vendors and demonstrated ability to monitor project activities and ensure compliance with internal/external regulations.
What We Offer
