Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Expert to join our team at Apple. As an Infrastructure Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing key technical infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage technical infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Participate in troubleshooting issues and document problems
  • Manage incidents and own issues from initial contact to resolution
  • Deploy code using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Measure and optimize system performance
  • Monitor telemetry and address alerts to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical discipline
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years of expertise with Linux (any distro, but especially RHEL) and standard UNIX utilities and programs
  • 3+ years of expertise with scripting languages such as Bash and Python
  • 3+ years of expertise with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Understanding of SRE principles and goals along with prior on-call experience
  • Track record of practical problem-solving, excellent communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Icinga/Nagios and log aggregation tools like Splunk
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing applications on AWS/GCP and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of databases
  • Experience around security and compliance
  • Experience working on supporting Java applications
