We are seeking a Junior Audit Accountant who is enthusiastic about building foundational knowledge and technical expertise in accounting and Audit & Assurance, with the goal of progressing into a role that supports and guides our clients.


In this role, you will engage in essential procedures related to the planning and execution of attestation engagements for clients, adhering to the relevant accounting standards.

A Junior Audit Accountant will collaborate with Audit Seniors and Managers on various tasks and projects, work with a diverse range of clients, and gain insights into multiple industries across both private and public sectors.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties include (but are not limited to):
Conduct and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients across different sectors

Prepare and assess financial statements while evaluating internal controls

Support the coordination of daily tasks related to planning, fieldwork, and completion

Develop a thorough understanding of accounting and reporting standards

Create reasonable time budgets and manage audit requests to adhere to deadlines

Engage with clients to ensure efficient information flow between the client and the audit team

Communicate with Clients, Management, and the Managing Director regarding work progress and any client-related issues that may arise

QUALIFICATIONS WE SEEK
Experience

1+ years in a relevant role

Proven knowledge of fundamental business, technology, or audit principles/standards

Experience with employee benefit plans is advantageous, but not mandatory

Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent technology experience

Bachelor's in Accounting (focused on Audit or Tax)

Master's degree or completion of 150 credits in designated states

License / Certification

Actively pursuing CPA Exam or relevant certification for the respective discipline if not already obtained

Must maintain required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits annually

Legal / Compliance

Must acknowledge Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document

Government engagements necessitate the ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
