Position Overview:
The Electrical Design Engineer will be accountable for the precise and timely execution of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, client specifications, and local regulations, while adhering to both budgetary constraints and timelines. The Engineer will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Designers, and Construction Administration Specialist to meet or exceed client and company expectations. Communication regarding any deviations from standards, errors, or omissions observed during the project is essential. Additionally, the Engineer will identify opportunities for project enhancements, including potential scope increases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proposal Phase:
    Assess the feasibility of proposed projects and assist in preparing project proposals.
  • Schematic Phase:
    Generate design alternatives and conduct cost analyses, perform code reviews, and assist in the preparation of sketches.
  • Design Development Phase:
    Contribute to the overall project schedule, assist in developing a comprehensive drawing list, and ensure compliance with applicable codes.
  • Construction Document Phase:
    Coordinate between disciplines, finalize specifications, and assist in resolving any owner comments.
  • Bidding Phase:
    Support designers in issuing bid documents and addressing bidder inquiries.
  • Construction Administration Phase:
    Maintain a complete set of drawings, review contractor inquiries, and assist in issuing necessary revisions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineers (PE) Certification.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
