Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is in search of a Registered Nurse who will autonomously deliver direct patient care. You will apply the nursing process to provide care that is appropriate for various developmental stages. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals will be essential to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses the needs of patients and their families.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Possesses advanced knowledge in nursing and foundational understanding of related fields - Familiar with industry best practices and regulations
  • Serves as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead initiatives - Approaches complex challenges with innovative solutions
  • Influences customer service, operational activities, and project outcomes within your team - Works independently with minimal oversight
  • Communicates complex information clearly and fosters consensus
  • Oversees the patient care team and coordinates the care plan
  • Ensures patient care adheres to safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards
  • Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care utilizing nursing skills and evidence-based practices
  • Educates and facilitates learning for patients, families, and team members
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care strategies
  • Advocates for patients and addresses ethical and clinical concerns
  • Accurately documents patient interactions and safeguards patient health information
  • Complies with infection prevention protocols
  • Delivers competent care with a focus on strong customer relations and evidence-based practices
  • Continuously assesses patient conditions and collaborates with the healthcare team - Manages resources effectively for patients and families.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of two years of recent critical care experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
