Role Overview:
The Field Services Operations Manager is tasked with efficiently overseeing operations and ensuring exceptional customer service across designated facilities within a specific region.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this position involves leading a team of Healthcare Representatives to guarantee the highest standards of service for assigned accounts.

This role necessitates collaboration with field leadership and other managerial teams across UnitedHealth Group.


Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
• Direct a team of Healthcare Representatives dedicated to delivering high-quality, client-centered services by leveraging knowledge of relevant program requirements to effectively manage and update applicant information.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of claims processing, documenting claim statuses appropriately in the system.
• Analyze inventory reports and take necessary actions while providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Generate reports and metrics for the assigned territory, offering insights based on findings.
• Guarantee adequate coverage within the designated area.
• Maintain ongoing communication with government agencies regarding claim statuses.
• Manage customer relationships in alignment with UnitedHealth Group policies and applicable regulations.

Team Leadership:
• Promote teamwork by encouraging collaboration among team members and exemplifying the desired behaviors.
• Navigate change proactively, supporting innovations and organizational adjustments that enhance effectiveness.
• Oversee team performance by establishing clear objectives, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively, ensuring that relevant information is disseminated to all stakeholders.

• Foster the development of team members by delegating responsibilities and coaching them to enhance their skills.
• Ensure all staff receive the necessary training to excel in their roles.
• Collaborate with team members on development planning and identify growth opportunities within UnitedHealth Group as appropriate.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit top talent when staffing needs arise.

Location:
This position requires onsite presence with potential travel to other facilities as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicaid, disability, Social Security, or healthcare sectors.
• Experience in a hospital environment or a clinical patient-facing role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with tablet devices.
• Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience as a Patient Advocate or Healthcare Representative.
• Experience in people management.
• Comprehensive understanding of SSA/SSI disability and other federal/state assistance programs.
• Basic financial acumen and understanding of budgeting.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Excellent customer service capabilities.
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in various situations.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-up capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
