Job Summary:
The School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join our Wellness Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the holistic health and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mental health education programs for students, faculty, and staff.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Collaborate with the Wellness Team to develop and implement wellness initiatives.
- Advocate for mental health and wellbeing within the organization.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff on mental health and wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with strong school experience.
- Several years of experience working in a school-based or clinical setting with high school-aged students.
- Candidates must be licensed to practice in New York State.
- Experience working with students of color and LGBTQAI+ students.
- Experience providing mental health education and direct counseling services with individuals and groups.
- Strong clinical skills and excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A background in performance or sports psychology.
Benefits:
- This is a part-time role with an hourly pay rate range of $75-$95/hour, commensurate with experience.
- This role does not offer medical and retirement benefits.
Schedule:
6 hours/week throughout the school year. Hours may be split between 1-2 days. Hours must be worked on-site during 'after-school' and evening hours.
