Join Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, as an Armed Security Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining front reception area access control in a government facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and observe the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Verify credentials and interact effectively with visitors, vendors, and client staff.
  • Exercise independent judgment in a dynamic environment.
  • Cover a variety of locations within Pinellas County, with day shift coverage only.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security, or combat arms.
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting.
    • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies.
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
    • Associate's degree or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state.
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
