Boulder Community Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, identifying and implementing nursing interventions and evaluating outcomes.
Responsibilities- Coordinates and provides nursing care for critically ill or injured patients, ages 13 through the lifespan, with respect to diversity.
- Assesses patient status systematically, demonstrates critical thinking by anticipating and responding to changes in clinical condition.
- Works together as a team to meet patient individual plan.
- Demonstrates an understanding of patient education tools, assesses learning ability and needs, then develops an education plan to meet patient and family deficits.
- May be required to perform point of care testing, may be a point of care trainer, and may be required to do moderately complex lab testing.
- Committed to supporting patient safety and quality initiatives, ongoing transitions in standards of care as evidence-based practice and research mandate change, and adheres to hospital standards for care.
- Serves as a patient and families liaison.
