Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule all non-emergency maintenance work, including day-to-day activities, one-day outages, and major shut downs.
  • Manage transactions for maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) - SAP.
  • Report to the Maintenance Superintendent and perform all activities with the goal of making the maintenance department the example of workplace excellence at the plant.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in chemical plant equipment, including pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, and other related systems.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to properly maintain vendor framework agreements.
  • Provide technical input on capital projects and equipment specifications.
  • Maintain high standards for documentation accuracy, including equipment lists, P&IDs, loop sheets, wiring diagrams, and other related documents.
  • Work with the Storeroom Coordinator to evaluate store room inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to effectively leverage maintenance resources in the execution of capital projects.
  • Assist the Maintenance Coordinator as needed in the execution of emergency work.
  • Fully participate in plant HSE initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in maintenance, mechanical, or electrical, within an industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment.
  • Previous experience working as a maintenance planner/scheduler is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, and SAP.
