Research Assistant

Carthage College is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team in the Chemistry Department. As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our NSF-funded research program, working closely with Dr. Weber and other team members.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research assistance, including molecular biology, protein purification, and working with plants. You will also be required to coordinate daily project operations, including standard biochemical techniques and plant-based experiments.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, basic molecular biology/biochemistry experience, and strong organizational skills. Previous laboratory experience is preferred, especially in molecular biology and standard biochemical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research assistance in molecular biology, protein purification, and plant-based experiments

- Collaborate with undergraduate students to review outcomes and milestones
Requirements:

- Previous laboratory experience is preferred
