We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Wellness Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our residential facility.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough admission procedures, including paperwork completion, individual orientation, and urinalysis collection.
- Search individuals' belongings upon admission and properly dispose of any forbidden items.
- Administer and read tuberculosis skin tests.
- Document patient information, including nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician orders, progress notes, and other relevant data.
- Provide direct care to patients, including monitoring for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
- Administer medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management to patients in the Detoxification Unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Manage and administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients, as well as referrals for identified needs.
- Maintain professional boundaries and interact with patients in an appropriate manner.
- Unrestricted RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Prefer 1 year of detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing experience.
- Working knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse population.
- Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
