Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical airway management, medication administration, and oxygen therapy services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician orders. This role requires effective communication with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer nebulized medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians
  • Manage patient airways and provide secretion clearance
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy and communicate results to physicians and healthcare teams

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (required)
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification within 1 year of hire

Work Schedule

7pm-7am shifts, with every third weekend requirement
