Job Summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a highly skilled CEI Inspector to join our team. As a CEI Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction projects by conducting inspections and testing materials on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections and testing of construction materials to ensure conformance to project plans and specifications.
  • Perform a wide variety of materials testing, construction inspections, and monitoring of traffic controls.
  • Collect and analyze data to ensure quality assurance is maintained.
  • Inspect contractor's traffic control during transportation construction projects.
  • Meet scheduling and attendance requirements.
  • Understand and interpret schematic drawings and construction documents to locate and record sampling/testing.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in CEI, field inspections, materials testing, and traffic inspections.
  • Experience in interstate transportation projects in urban areas.
  • Understanding and familiarity with MUTCD and GDOT Design Guidelines and Standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with traffic control plans and knowledge of the properties, characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses of construction materials.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I, GDOT Concrete Certification preferred, Portable Nuclear Gauge user certification, RTT certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability required.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
  • Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including extreme cold and heat.
