Mortgage Loan Originator Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at Deere Employees Credit Union / Infinity Credit Union. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating and processing mortgage loans, building relationships with members, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and process mortgage loans, including gathering and reviewing loan applications, conducting credit checks, and verifying income and employment information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with members, realtors, and other industry professionals to promote the credit union's mortgage products and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in mortgage regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and processing, to ensure a smooth and efficient loan approval process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products and services, including FHA and VA loans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members and industry professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
