Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to lead our fabrication department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
As the Fabrication Supervisor, your primary duties will include:
- Overseeing daily operations within the fabrication department to ensure compliance with production timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborating with design engineers, machinists, and fabricators to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Implementing and upholding safety protocols in alignment with OSHA regulations, prioritizing a safe working environment.
- Training, mentoring, and assessing the performance of team members to foster a skilled workforce.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with procurement to guarantee the availability of essential materials.
- Troubleshooting and resolving fabrication process or equipment-related issues.
- Promoting continuous improvement initiatives within fabrication processes.
- Maintaining accurate records of production activities and reporting to senior management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience as a Fabrication Supervisor or in a comparable role within a metal fabrication setting.
- A comprehensive understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and precision machining.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
- Preferred additional technical certifications or training.
