Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Art Director to lead our art team and help develop the artistic vision of our game. As the Art Director, you will work closely with our top-notch team to set up and optimize our art pipeline, guide a growing art team, and ensure the successful release of content to our Game Art Quality bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting team development objectives and providing regular feedback to team members.
  • Leading and developing the art team, providing constructive art feedback, training, and coaching.
  • Foreseeing potential risks and supporting the Art Director/Producer with evaluation and mitigation.
  • Collaborating with the production team to identify new business opportunities and achieve revenue growth goals.
  • Working with art discipline leads to scope and schedule desired work, foster and communicate the vision to the team.
  • Ensuring final delivery and quality control in accordance with project artistic direction, technical restrictions, and deadlines.
  • Creating a working environment that fosters cross-team collaboration and ensures a productive internal workflow.
  • Evaluating staffing requirements and participating in the artists' recruitment process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4+ years of game development experience, with 1+ years of management experience, and a core lead credit in at least two games that have been successfully shipped.
  • Proven expertise in the monetization aspect of video games is preferable.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, iterative environment, while delivering under deadlines and time constraints.
  • Deep understanding of art fundamentals, artistic culture, and video game culture.
  • Strong interest in Game and Game Development, with extensive understanding of games in multiple genres across all platforms.
  • Talent for promoting vision and methodologies, inspiring and coaching others.
  • Great mastery of diverse art styles, with an open-minded and receptive attitude to new ideas and fresh perspectives.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $135,500 to $247,750 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
