SUMMARY:

This role is a full-time exempt position, contributing to the mission of Valiant Integrated Services in support of various Department of Defense initiatives. The Space & Special Technical Operations (SSTO) team will provide expert guidance, training, and mentorship to military leaders in the effective integration of Space Operations and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) within the context of modern operational environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Serve as a key member of the SSTO team, providing leadership and expertise in the Movement and Maneuver Warfighting Function.
  • Deliver training and coaching on the synchronization of SSTO with U.S. Space Command and other relevant entities to support operational objectives.
  • Facilitate the integration and monitoring of space support for various operational needs, including targeting and navigation.
  • Oversee the management of IJSTO and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) programs, ensuring effective execution in joint operations.
  • Participate in critical meetings and working groups that enhance training unit mission command processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of operational orders and summaries.
  • Develop and manage Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) products using appropriate command and control systems.
  • Coordinate training efforts with augmenters from state or sister units.
  • Engage in the preparation and execution of After Action Reviews to improve future operations.
  • Integrate SSTO into comprehensive operational scenarios, ensuring alignment with established timelines.
  • Support the development of Master Scenario Events Lists (MSEL) for training objectives requiring manual intervention.
  • Conduct pre-exercise staff exercises to prepare military leaders in operational design and command processes.
  • Ensure the effective replication of training environments to meet doctrinal standards for Unified Land Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of twenty years of experience in the Army, with at least two years in exercise planning.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in training management and Combat Training Center operations.
  • Experience as a Division SSTO or Corps/JTF SSTO for a minimum of two years.
  • Preferred experience includes command at the Battalion or Brigade level.
  • Familiarity with large-scale exercises and Army Command and Control Information Systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

A Master's degree or equivalent is required, with a preference for graduates of military Senior Service Colleges.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
