We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver / Direct Support Professional to join our team at Christian Living Communities. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional personal care services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care services to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Anticipate and identify resident care needs, reporting to supervisors as necessary.
- Administer medications to residents, following established procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and document resident conditions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond to resident and family member needs, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Medication certification (QMAP-A/L, Med Tech, Med Aide, Nurse Delegation)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One year of experience in elder care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
This role requires moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. You will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, family members, and colleagues. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are not required for this position.
