The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and patient-centric Mammography Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Per Diem Technologist, you will have the flexibility to work in various office environments, covering on a moment's notice, and utilizing the latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography equipment.
Responsibilities- Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
- Assist practices in ensuring all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
- Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure, explaining procedures to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Move mammographic equipment to specific positions, adjust controls, and set exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
- Practice radiation protection techniques, follow prescribed safety standards, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Process routine paperwork, perform QA testing, and maintain professional affiliations.
- 2 years of experience in mammography.
- ARRT certification.
- Up-to-date CME credits.
- Patient-centric, compassionate, and computer-savvy.
