Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Trailer Repair Technician to join our team. As a Trailer Repair Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the maintenance and repair of our trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including tire and brake maintenance, and rebuilding and repairing braking systems and trailer components.
  • Secure trailers on lifts and dollies, and occasionally road-test vehicles.
  • Work on a production line, using proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.

Requirements:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
  • Driver's license.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Regular attendance.

Work Environment:

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
