Fleet Maintenance Technician II

About the Role:
Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our mobile maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and other systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Confer with customers and dispatch to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Document work order information and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a power technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences
