Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with the Vice President of State Affairs and regional leaders to enhance operational effectiveness in advancing BGA's climate, employment, and equity objectives at the state level. This role focuses on planning, managing, and assessing all operational components of BGA's State Policy initiatives.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Strategic Oversight: Collaborate with the VP of State Affairs and regional directors to oversee state policy operations across multiple states.
  • Annual Planning: Manage the annual planning process for the State Policy Team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Project Coordination: Develop and oversee metrics and goal-tracking for the State Policy Team's annual initiatives, coordinating with other departments.
  • Team Development: Lead onboarding and training for State Policy staff, working with the Director of People & Culture to enhance staff development.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.
  • Special Projects: Undertake additional projects as assigned by the VP of State Affairs.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of six years of experience in campaign management or organizational operations.
  • Experience in remote work environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • A commitment to economic, racial, and environmental justice.
