Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Quality Sourcing Services Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.

The CNC Operator will be responsible for preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and routing. They will also be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings and program codes to ensure specifications are met.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and routing.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and program codes to ensure specifications are met.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Prepare test runs to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts.
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments for better results.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed correctly.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality and routine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machine performance and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to optimize production quality and efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workspaces to minimize risk and maximize productivity.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator.
  • Experience with Laguna CNC Smartshop M Router and VCarve Pro is a plus.
  • Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling and precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Computer savvy with a basic computer programming and CAD/CAM understanding.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Good communication abilities.
  • Interest and willingness to participate in 3D printing- concrete, plastic.
