Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Dignity Health Medical Foundation. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with treatment prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncologists.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately deliver ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with treatment prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncologists.
  • Assist in all aspects of Radiation Oncology Department functions, including patient care, patient treatment delivery, patient treatment records, radiation safety, quality assurance, and patient follow-up programs.
  • May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy.
  • Registered in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT and licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association.
  • Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practices, radiation protection, and quality assurance, patient management and care, basic dosimetry, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years recent radiation therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience using ARIA or IMPAC Varian and CT simulation equipment preferred.
  • HDR brachytherapy experience preferred.
