About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Sysco. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of our fleet.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Work closely with our drivers and other maintenance personnel to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance to ensure that our fleet remains safe and efficient.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, preferably in a fleet maintenance environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
  • ASE certifications in diesel engine repair and maintenance highly preferred.
