Key Responsibilities- Account Servicing: Handle day-to-day servicing for a book of large and complex accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing of renewals, new business, and cancellations.
- Rate and Growth Management: Be responsible for rate, growth, and retention of assigned book, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform underwriting decisions.
- Risk Evaluation and Negotiation: Evaluate risks and negotiate annual pricing, terms, and conditions on renewal business, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- New Business Development: Work on new business opportunities with key programs, designing and proposing appropriate program structures and pricing for said opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with Managing General Agents, ensuring strong communication and collaboration.
- Claims Management: Track claims and coordinate communication for the development of claims with appropriate parties.
- Financial Performance: Drive financial performance of the assigned book of business, analyzing data and metrics to inform underwriting decisions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least 7+ years of Workers' Compensation underwriting experience, including time spent in the property and casualty space.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of current insurance marketplace conditions.
- Knowledge: Understanding and adherence to organizational and regulatory rules, as well as knowledge of Workers Compensation, General Liability, Property, and Auto Liability Insurance coverage, terms, and conditions.
- Ability: Ability to identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls, as well as analyze claims and loss trends.
