CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Select and operate the appropriate technical factors for diagnostic CT examinations, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations in a caring and compassionate manner, prioritizing patient care activities.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients.
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exams, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields within the electronic medical record system.
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through ongoing education and training.
- Maintain effective communication with patients and other healthcare colleagues, including radiologists.
- Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the CT scanner, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
- Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
