About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process of our patients, working closely with our Physical Therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of patients with decreased functions
  • Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care
  • Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Report resident progress in meetings, as deemed required or appropriate
  • Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate
  • Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner, reflecting the therapy provided to the residents and their response to the therapy
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant, with a license in good standing
  • Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a willingness to work harmoniously with all staff
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion
