Physical Therapist Assistant PTA Position Summary

EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is a state-of-the-art skilled nursing rehabilitation center dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant PTA to join our team.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to develop and implement physical therapy programs for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for rehabilitation and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing physical therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents
  • Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Report resident progress in meetings as deemed required or appropriate
  • Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate
  • Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner
  • Perform routine documentation as required
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant PTA
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant PTA license in good standing
  • Previous skilled nursing facility SNF experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff
