Counseling Faculty Position

The Maricopa Community College District is seeking a qualified Counseling Faculty member to join our team at Scottsdale Community College. As a key member of our Counseling Department, you will provide academic and career counseling services to students, teach counseling and personal development courses, and contribute to the development of student success programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide non-clinical counseling services to students, including individual and group counseling sessions, and administer and interpret career assessments.
- Teach First Year Experience (FYE) and Counseling and Personal Development (CPD) courses, and conduct workshops and class/group presentations.
- Participate in campus and district-level committees, program initiatives, and special projects related to student success and counseling services.
- Maintain a collaborative team approach within the counseling discipline and with other campus teams.
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling.
- Specific coursework in Counseling Theories and Techniques, Personality Theories or Human Development, Testing Theories and Applications, Group Counseling Theories and Techniques, Career Counseling Theories and Resources, Individual Assessment, and Practicum, supervised Practice, or Internship in Counseling.
- Demonstrated experience teaching classes and/or creating curriculum that promote academic and personal growth in a community college, university, or secondary education setting.
- Evidence of effective counseling skills and experience.
- Evidence of management/leadership skills and experience.
