Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Diesel Mechanic

Job Type: Contract | Temporary

Pay: $25 - $40 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Preventative Maintenance Diesel Mechanics to support critical recovery and maintenance efforts in Florida on a contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel-powered equipment, ensuring smooth operations during vital recovery and construction efforts across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, heavy equipment, and generators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct regular services, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire maintenance.
  • Keep detailed service records and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide emergency repair services when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with expertise in preventative maintenance.

  • ASE certifications or similar credentials (preferred but not required).
  • CDL (A or B) with air brake endorsement is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Florida as needed.


Preferred Skills:

  • Welding experience (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and on-call for emergency repairs.
