Job Title: Project Director

Job Summary:

Hughes Brothers Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to oversee multiple site development and heavy civil construction projects throughout Central Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be able to effectively coordinate with clients, engineers, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with project estimators to ensure accurate project budgets and schedules
Review and interpret contract and specifications to ensure compliance
Manage project buyout processes and prepare purchase orders for suppliers and vendors
Engage subcontractors and prepare subcontracts as needed
Coordinate and track project submittals and shop drawings
Ensure all required permits and clearances are obtained prior to project commencement
Prepare and maintain project schedules and update throughout project duration
Prepare and maintain NPDES permits, SWPPP, and monthly monitoring and inspections
Provide technical engineering information to project field supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, and specifications
Coordinate with project superintendents and engineers to resolve project challenges and conflicts
Prepare monthly project pay applications and submit/track change orders, extra work requests, and cash flow projections
Manage project document control to include submittals, schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
Review Heavy Job daily time and quantity reports for accuracy
Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, testing, survey staking, utility locates, etc.
Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans and/or specifications affect products or services
Coordinate and manage project close-out documentation

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in site development and heavy civil construction
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, HCSS, AGTEK, Bluebeam, and Foundation
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and planning skills
