Job Title: Dental Sterilization Technician

At Ohio Dental Implants & Oral Surgery, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of infection control and sterilization in our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and sterilize all instruments for daily use, ensuring they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Collect and sort used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination.
  • Operate and maintain decontamination equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized, and report any issues or problems to the team.
  • Test and report any issues or problems with sterilization equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Sterilize, prep, wrap, and organize equipment into instruments trays for use during medical procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for procedures, ensuring they are properly sterilized and ready for use.
  • Maintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor inventory and supplies, ensuring we have the necessary equipment and materials to maintain the highest standards of infection control and sterilization.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution preferred.
