Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and provide direction to craftsmen with equipment troubleshooting to mitigate downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Monitor and approve inventory orders to control storeroom spend according to planned budget and ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies.
  • Ensure compliance and proper use of parts and equipment according to preferred maintenance practices and industry standards.
  • Oversee craftsmen's compliance with corporate, division, plant safety and environmental rules and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to lead craftsmen in reliability efforts of precision, predictive, and preventive maintenance for annual budget planning and optimization.
  • Manage all parts and tool inventories to ensure necessary repairs are completed within minimal equipment downtime and maintain a high level of equipment availability.
  • Schedule all work through job priority and equipment availability to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meet production deadlines.
  • Lead development and implementation of continuous process improvement of reliability plans in the plant to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Demonstrate ownership of business and management goals by effectively leading craftsmen to align on objectives and drive results.
  • Lead safety efforts by identifying high-risk situations, conducting safety meetings, and coordinating maintenance-related safety activities to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities operations role, preferably in a corrugated box production facility.
  • OSHA certification is preferred but not required.
  • 2-year technical degree or higher in Maintenance discipline or related field.
