Job Summary:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Planning Engineer Associate to support our My Florida Network-2 (MFN-2) Telco engineering team. As an associate network engineer, you will work with telecommunications industry vendors/partners to provide products or services such as access bandwidth required to fulfill program orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and process orders, tracking deliveries and performing data organization and entry tasks required to monitor and communicate progress of orders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to solve problems as quickly as possible.
  • Order and coordinate all necessary vendor telecommunication products and services to fulfill Department of Management Services (DMS) order requirements on the MFN-2 network.
  • Collaborate with field management personnel to ensure access/transport circuits are delivered in accordance with expected delivery intervals.
  • Provide and maintain regular circuit status within implementation databases/software tools while communicating with program management and field management supporting on-time delivery of orders.
  • Liaison to telecommunication vendor provisioning teams resolving administrative and/or technical issues for active orders.
  • Write, submit, process and coordinate all provisioning related documents (Telecom Service Orders-TSO/PONs, Supplements, LOA/CFAs, DLRs, and Access Carrier Reports, etc.) to/from all carriers as required.
  • Provide support as needed to service delivery teams during acceptance testing and turn-up of MFN-2 program services.
  • Contribute to continued development of new and existing procedures supporting ordering, provisioning and delivery of telecommunications products and services.
  • Provide data analysis of existing and ordered circuit inventories ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backbone and customer routing issues.
  • Implement solutions that support customer visions and objectives.
  • Participate in inter program initiatives and discussions to resolve technical challenges.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training for engineering and NOC teams.
  • Maintain operational excellence of network system and components to exceed customer expectations.
  • Define and implement best practices for network and capacity management.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Basic domain knowledge and understanding of LEC/CLEC connectivity and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes.
  • Experience with database modeling software such as DICE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA Certification or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of all MS Office suites.
  • Strong data analytical background, identifying patterns, determining root causes.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, including enhanced capacity for multi-tasking.
  • Strong organization skills and process oriented.
